Work Hard, Play Harder

I haven't blogged in years! Welcome to Red Light Hive, and welcome into my mind.



Working 50-60 hours / week has finally paid off:
-I've got money in the bank
-I have two vacations coming up
-I'm moving in October

Vacation #1 - Spring Break Road Trip to Florida!
March 8 - 16
Some amazing Simmons Women who are graduating this year invited me to join their caravan to Kissimmee, FL (outside Orlando) for a good old fashioned Spring Break. 24 hours of driving in a minivan with some of my favorite people, 8 days/nights in an 8-person suite at a 5-star resort, sun, swimming, beers and queers!

Vacation #2 - Caroline in Barcelona, Spain!
March 30 - April 7
The woman who is always on the move exploring, travelling, making music, teaching, learning, and being overall the most lovely and beautiful woman in my life: Caroline! She's settled in Barcelona for a few more months and I'm going to spend some time with her to hear her new music, thpeak with a lithp in Thpain, have some deep conversations about love and life, and hug! Know of any amazing places I should go to in Barcelona? Let me know.

Moving in October!
After a few years of trying to pinpoint my next physical move, I've decided: Oakland, CA. I'm going to live with Lily (aka: Wifey, Lilus, Boo, Muffin-Face, Cuddle-Muffin, Dum-Dum...) who was my roommate at Simmons for two years. The plan is to try to milk my many connections to get some sort of fabulous job (or set of jobs like I have in PVD). Restaurant Manager / Waitress? Writer / Editor / Contributor of SexLib Lit? Sex Industry Visionary? Child Care Provider / Organizer? Madame / BeeKeeper? Any combination of the above would satisfy me wholly.

There is a Westward Movement among many in Providence / Boston / NYC. Join me! We will start something (or join in something) really sexy, smart, and fun (and temperate).

My plan is to be there for 2 or 3 years, and then make another move that will probably upset my mother as much as this one has ("you're gonna fall in love out there, and I'm never going to see my grandchildren!")...

Places I'm Pondering: NYC, Seattle, Chicago, Denver, Arizona, Armenia, or off the grid somewhere in the world...
